Friday Night Drinks Report # 40

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at the Stara Macka restaurant in Ljubljana last Friday. We had a good turnout and a very enjoyable evening at our final event before the summer break, and met a number of friendly new faces. We've posted some photos of the evening up on the FND photo blog as well as on the new FND Facebook group.

Special thanks to Ian Finnimore from Bally Technologies for sponsoring plenty of free drinks on Friday. Ian literally walked up and offered to be our sponsor right on the spot, which makes him an ideal candidate for FNDer of the year! :-)

We look forward to seeing everyone again after the summer break in September. If you have any friends who would like to be informed of future events, please pass the word along or send us their emails so we can add them to the mailing list.

Have a great summer!

Friday Night Drinks at Stara Macka

This month's Friday Night Drinks will be happening this Friday, 19 June at 8:30pm. Well be meeting at the Stara Macka restaurant in Ljubljana (next door to the Macek pub along the river in the old town).

We're planning to have some free snacks for everyone again this month, so come join us for an exciting evening of friends, food and fun in Ljubljana's old town. This will be our final event of the season as we'll be taking a break for the summer and resuming 'business as usual' in September.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Stara Macka... be sure to mark the date on your calendar and pass the word along to any of your friends who might wish to join the fun!

Friday Night Drinks Report # 39

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at the Vale-Novak bookstore and AS Lounge in Ljubljana last Friday. We'd like to thank Vale-Novak for sponsoring the free champagne for the event. We had very enjoyable evening, starting with a 'colorfully' entertaining book presentation by Erica Johnson-Debeljak. All copies of her book Forbidden Bread were sold out during the event, so if you were unable to get your hands on one, you can still order a copy online, and the bookstore also promised to have more in stock by next week.

As usual, we've posted a few photos of the evening up on the FND photo blog as well as some additional pics on the FND Facebook group. We look forward to seeing everyone again next month... more details will be announced on the website and by email.
