Thanks to all who turned up for a lively evening of food and fun at the Don Felipe restaurant last Friday. The location worked out quite well, and everyone seemed to agree that the food was really excellent, so we expect to be heading back there for more events in the future.

Hola! FNDers,
The next Friday Night Drinks will be this Friday, 22 June at 8:30pm. We'll be meeting at the Don Felipe Spanish restaurant at Streliska 22 (near the road leading up to the Ljubljana Castle. There will be free food for us this month (tasty tapas) thanks to our kind sponsors at Pedersen & Partners and Ljubljana Life Magazine. Mark from Slovenia Relocations will also be on hand sponsoring more free drinks and will have free gifts to give away as well, so be sure to arrive early!

Friday Night Drinks Report #19
Last Friday's FND at the Marine House in Ljubljana was fantastic fun, and the turnout proved to be very good even despite the Laibach concert happening in town the same evening. Many thanks to the Marines for hosting us and supplying some great margaritas and other concoctions. As usual we have a few photos of the evening up on the FND photo blog.

Friday Night Drinks Report # 18
Last Friday's FND at the Trattoria was very nice evening. The venue worked out quite well this time, and with summer weather arriving, it's great to have a place where FNDers can hang out comfortably both indoors and out. The turnout this time was a bit lower than usual, possibly due to the 'Friday the 13th' factor... or perhaps many of us simply decided to head to the coast to make the most of the perfect weather. In any case, we were certainly far from besting last months perfect FND storm.
The food on Friday was a welcome treat, so we would like thank the Trattoria restaurant and Ljubljana Life magazine for sponsoring the evening, as well as Sloveniarelo.com for sponsoring free drinks and t-shirts. Friday the 13th FND!
This month's Friday Night Drinks will be happening on Friday this week at 8:30pm. We will be meeting at a new restaurant called Trattoria, located in the old town at Gornji trg 33 (just a few doors away from the Spajza restaurant).
There will be some free food again (although not as much as last month) and free welcome drinks for everyone, for which we'd like to thank the restaurant and Ljubljana Life Magazine for co-sponsoring the event. And to top things off, Mark from Sloveniarelo.com will also be sponsoring some additional free drinks and will bring a few more free shirts to give away as well!

FND Report # 17, March 16, 2007
What a night! I think that most of us 'regulars' would agree that last Friday's FND at the Evropa was a step into new territory. We filled up the spacious hall quite well with a record turnout of over 140 FNDers, and the consensus seemed to be that the location was just about perfect! As usual, we've got some photos of the evening up on the FND Photo Blog, so if you weren't there this weekend, check out the fun you missed!
The food on Friday was excellent, so we would like to give special thanks to Adin at Newspaper Direct for sponsoring the evening, as well as the Evropa restaurant, which co-sponsored the buffet dinner. For anyone who is unfamiliar with Newspaper Direct, they offer same-day delivery of hundreds of major newspapers from around the world. Check their website or contact them by email for more details.
Thanks again and a big farewell to Juan Roque, who was generous enough to sponsor 50 free drinks on Friday -- we wish him well at his new assignment in North Carolina. Also, congrats to Frank for winning a free bottle of Movia wine as well as Leonardo for winning a bottle of Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey (didn't he also win a bottle of Irish whiskey at last year's St. Patrick's day FND???).
The following night, on Saturday, March 17, a number of FNDers also showed up for Joan McIntyre's annual St. Patrick's day party at the Emonska klet, and as usual it was a wild and crazy evening. Too bad it only happens once a year!
