The next FND will be held on Friday the 22nd of March at the Café Bar SOLIST!. The evening will begin at 8pm, with Kevin and the team at Relocations sponsoring the first €100 of beer, wine and soft drinks for early comers + additional Welcome Drinks from Beefeater Gin!

SOLIST is situated on the Ljubljana river beside Pizza DVOR and behind Filharmonija (the Philharmonic building).

Friday Night Drinks + Internations at Carpe Diem

Attention FNDers!

This month's Friday Night Drinks will be meeting again at the wonderful Carpe Diem club (Slovenska 19... just a few meters from the Hotel Cubo), this time together with the Internations group like in November. The club will be offering free finger food to all of our guests, and we expect to see plenty of new faces this time with the addition of the Internations gang, so it should be a very fun evening! Remember to mark the date on your calendar and pass the word along to any friends or colleagues who may like to come.

The Mayan apocalypse is officially over and a new era of FND has begun! We’ll be meeting in style this coming Friday at one of the city’s newest and hottest clubs, Carpe Diem, located at Sovenska 19 (near Kongresni trg). So set aside your fanciest shoes and get ready to join us for a fun and lively evening this Friday starting at 8:30pm with free welcome drinks! Friday Night Drinks 2012 Holiday Party

The FND holiday/"end-of-the-world" party will be taking place on Friday, Dec. 21st starting at 8:30pm at the Platana restaurant on Kongresni trg. We will have the entire (small) restaurant to ourselves, along with plenty of cheerful space just outside in case things get too crowded indoors. There will also be a TV Slovenia crew in the back room to interview any expats who might care to share their opinions on what it's like to be a foreigner in Slovenia.

Kongressni trg is a great central spot to start the evening's festivities... and even if the world doesn't end we may still see some excitement if the protests scheduled for earlier in the day linger on! So mark the date on your calendar and be sure to spread the word to any friends who might like to join us!

PS: We'll be meeting in the Platana restaurant (not the bar). It's just a few doors away from a small boutique called THE END. Quite fitting for the end times ;-)

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at the Opera Bar last Friday. We truly had a blockbuster evening, with at least 90% of the entire (very busy) venue filled up with a fantastic crowd of FNDers and Internations members! It was a very lively evening, with lots of new faces from all around the globe!

We'd like to thank our sponsor, Ernst & Young, for contributing a generous bundle of money for free food and drinks on Friday. There were some really great people from the company who attended the event, hopefully you had a chance to meet a few of them.

Friday Night Drinks at Opera Bar

Attention FNDers... the days are getting colder and the nights longer, in other words it's the perfect season for FND! Our November event will be happening this Friday, the 23rd starting at 8:30pm at the Opera Bar, located at Cankarjeva 12 in Ljubljana. It's the week of Thanksgiving and young wine... so come out and join us for a fun-filled evening and meet some good friends, new and old alike. We'll have free welcome drinks for early arrivals, so pass the word to anyone who'd like to join us!

FND + Blow Up + The Beatles this Friday at Sputnik!

Friday Night Drinks will be taking place this coming Friday, October 19th at the wonderful Sputnik Café (located at Tržaška cesta 128, close to the LJ ring road). FND members will have free entrance... the evening will feature an opening (and closing) from the Blow Up band with a special performance from Help! - A Beatles Tribute! FND will be starting up at 9pm and the show will begin at around 9:30pm. If you missed your chance to see the popular Beatles Tribute concert this summer, this is a second (and free!) chance to your favorites oldies, FND style!

So be sure to mark the letters FND on your calendar, and help to spread the word by passing along this invitation to any friends who may be interested!

PS: If you have any trouble finding Sputnik, it's located just behind the petrol station (the last one before the ring road). From there you can drive around the block and park near the railroad tracks.

PPS: If they ask for any proof of FND membership at the door, just flash your FND VIP card, or be prepared to answer a challenging question (such as "what do the letters FND spell?", or "who is the head honcho of FND?", etc.:-)
