Friday Night Drinks Tonight at Kavarna SEM

This month's Friday Night Drinks will be happening Tonight, 18 June starting at 8:30pm. We'll be meeting at the Kavarna SEM (near Metelkova) for our final FND event before the summer break. Look for us just outside by the entrance to the cafe, which is located in the same building as the Slovene Ethnographic Museum. So take a break from the World Cup (or come and join us to celebrate your team's victory!) and kick back with some refreshing drinks and FND fun. There will also be Salsa dancing inside the cafe, so if you're in the mood bring along your dancing shoes!

Friday Night Drinks Report # 48

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at Dvorni Bar last Friday. We had a very exciting evening with a great turnout and some fine performances by the ICS Band. We're a bit sad that band members Colin and Jos will be leaving us very soon after to getting to know them quite well during the past few years, and we wish them all the best of luck with their relocation.

And speaking of relocations... congrats to Alexandra and Eric for coming up with the correct answers to Donna's musical trivia quiz and winning free bottles of champagne, compliments of our sponsor Relocations.si. FND + ICS Concert at Dvorni Bar

This month's Friday Night Drinks will be on the 28th of May at the Dvorni Bar, starting at 8pm. Join us for a fun evening of food, friends (and hopefully also some free drinks) as we get set to kick off the summer season.

We'll have some free tapas snacks, compliments of the house, as well as a live a concert with the the ICS band and their a new guitarist/vocalist. Donna has promised there will be plenty of musical treats in store, including Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, Eric Clapton and other classic oldies to help rock the night away!

FND this Friday at Hugo Barrera in Ljubljana

The next Friday Night Drinks will be happening this Friday, April 9th at the Hugo Barrera club, located along the river by the city's main marketplace (Adamič Lundrovo nabrežje 5). This time we'll have a live concert performance by the Blow Up Band with some great oldies that everyone should enjoy. The club has promised to provide some free snacks, compliments of the house, and there will also be some Free Drinks for those who arrive early, compliments of our sponsor Slovenia Relocations.

Friday Night Drinks Report # 46

Thanks to all who turned up for this month's Friday Night Drinks last weekend at the Dvorni Bar. We had a very enjoyable evening with a great turnout, and a good number of new FNDers this month as well! Also, remember that St. Patrick's day is Tonight! Our fellow FNDer Joan and her good friends from the Irish dancing school will be hosting their annual St. Patrick's day party starting at 8pm tonight, and all FNDers are welcome. The party will be held at Exen on Ljubljanska cesta 25 in Siska.

March FND at Dvorni Bar this Friday!

Friday Night Drinks is back again this month after a short break for February. Join us for another fun-filled evening starting at 8:30pm this coming Friday, March 12 at the Dvorni Bar, located at Dvorni trg in Ljubljana's old town. We'll have free finger food for all of our members, compliments of the house, and lots of good company as usual from around the world.

This will be the final FND event for two of our favorite long-time FNDers, Leo and Michelle, who will be moving to Paris very soon, so come and join us for a final farewell toast to wish them both well in their relocation. Also, St. Patrick's day is just around the corner, so feel welcome to wear your greens or even dress up like a leprechaun if so inspired :-)

We had a very enjoyable evening with an exceptionally large, diverse and (as always) interesting international crowd. First FND of 2010... and back to Vitez!

Join us at 8 pm this coming Friday, 29 January for the first Friday Night Drinks event of 2010! We'll be meeting again this month at the Pri Vitezu restaurant (Breg 20, Ljubljana), the same great location where we met in December for the spectacular FND Christmas party.
