Friday Night Drinks in May

Here is the tentative plan for the next FND on 29 May: we will start the evening at the Vale Novak bookstore on Wolfova street (near Preseren square) at 8pm, where we'll have some free champaign. One of our members, Erica Johnson-Debeljak, will be presenting her new book Forbidden Bread, about her life and experience in Slovenia, and will be happy to answer any questions.

At 9pm we'll be moving on to a nearby venue to continue with FND as usual. More details will be announced in the upcoming days on the FND Website and on Facebook.

Friday Night Drinks Report # 38

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at the Namaste Indian restaurant in Ljubljana last Friday. We had very fun evening with a fantastic and very international crowd of FNDers, plus plenty of free eats throughout the evening! Who could ask for more?

Friday Night Drinks at Namaste

Attention FNDers!

Our April Friday Night Drinks will be happening this Friday, 24 April at 8:00pm. We'll be meeting for the first time at the Namaste Indian restaurant in Ljubljana, located at at Breg 8, along the river in Ljubljana's old town. We'll have some spicy Northern Indian treats for everyone, so come early and be sure to spread the word to all your friends!

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at the Stara Macka restaurant in Ljubljana last Friday. We had a very lively evening with a fantastic crowd of FNDers, plus some free snacks and free drinks for early birds thanks to our sponsors The Business Center and Slovenia Relocations.

Friday Night Drinks TONIGHT at Stara Macka

This month's Friday Night Drinks will be happening tonight at 8:30pm at the Stara Macka restaurant in Ljubljana's old town (next door to the Macek pub along the river).

Well have some free snacks again tonight, so come join us for a fun-filled evening with friends, food and also some free drinks sponsored by the newly opened Business Center and Slovenia Relocations.

Friday Night Drinks Report # 36

Thanks to all who turned up for Friday Night Drinks at the Sax House in Ljubljana last Friday. We had an enjoyable evening as usual and met some friendly new faces from countries near and far including Greece, Macedonia, Russia, France, The US, Puerto Rico, Israel and Slovenia.

Friday Night Drinks Report # 35

Thanks to all who turned up for last week's Friday Night Drinks at the Bachus Center in Ljubljana. We had a fun and lively evening, and a pretty good turnout, despite the rather unfriendly weather and a few other popular events happening on the same night (i.e. Swan Lake in Tivoli, Spanish dinner, etc.). Friday Night Drinks Tonight at Bachus!

Sorry for not posting this to the blog sooner...

The holiday season may be long over, but the good news is that Friday Night Drinks is returning this Friday, 23 January, at 8:00pm at the Bachus Center in Ljubljana, located at Kongressni trg 3 (you can see the entrance across the park from the Philharmonic building). This is our first event of 2009, so be sure to come and help us kick off another exciting year of FND, and join us for a good-luck toast to the new American president, who takes office this Tuesday.

We'll also have some free snacks waiting for everyone by the cocktail bar... be sure to arrive early, mark the date on your calendar and pass the word along to any of your friends who might like to join the fun.
